Due to matters beyond our control the COVID vaccination delivery has been delayed.
All patients booked for their vaccination have been moved from Wednesday 6th January 2021 to Saturday 9th January 2021.
We have sent text messages wherever possible to all patients affected and have tried on several occasions to contact other patients without a mobile number.

COVID-19 Vaccination centre at the Emerald Suite Windhill Green Medical Centre,2 Thackley Old Rd, Shipley BD18 1QB
The Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for use in the UK.
We understand that many of our patients will want to know more about the vaccination and when they will be vaccinated.
The practice will let you know by letter, text or telephone when it is your turn to have the vaccine.
Please do not contact the practice for further information about the vaccine. We will put updates on this site when we know more. Please help keep our phone lines free for those patients who need urgent assistance.
Patients most at risk from COVID-19 will be invited first with other groups following later in the vaccination programme. Our first clinic will be on Wednesday 6th January 2020.
We are working closely with our neighbouring practices to provide a local vaccination centre for COVID-19 in the Emerald Suite at the Windhill Green so our patients can access the vaccine as locally as possible. Please be patient with us as we work with the national teams to get this programme ramped up over the coming months. As further vaccines become available we will be able to expand the service but await the formal process for vaccines approval, ensuring a safe and effective programme for our patients.
Stock availability is going to be an issue and the first deliveries will be staggered nationally to ensure the whole country gets some stock to target their most at risk patients. It has been confirmed that patients who have had their first injection will have guaranteed stock (and an appointment booked) in 3 weeks for their second injection. At this point the vaccine has to be given at the designated site. Further detail on transportable vaccines for housebound or care home patients is awaited.
In order to prioritise this work you may find availability of routine appointments has been reduced. We have had to take this decision as we believe delivering this vaccination programme will allow us to begin to provide our normal service again in 2021.
Your understanding and patience during these challenging times is appreciated.
