COVID 19 Vaccination

Please do not call the Surgery to enquire about your vaccination.

We will be ringing patients in priority group order to book a COVID Vaccination appointment

COVID Vaccination Update

COVID-19 Vaccination centre at the Emerald Suite Windhill Green Medical Centre,2 Thackley Old Rd, Shipley BD18 1QB

Our 1st vaccination roll out started on Saturday 9th January 2020 at Windhill Green Surgery

We are working through our patients in age priority starting with our eldest over 80 year old cohort.

As per the government guidance we will be working through priority groups as follows as and when we receive our vaccines.

Who will get the vaccine first?

Broadly, vaccines are being given to the most vulnerable first, as set out in a list of nine high-priority groups, covering around 30 million people.

They are thought to represent 90-99% of those at risk of dying from Covid-19.

Residents in care homes for older adults and their carers

  • 80-year-olds and over and frontline health and social care workers
  • 75-year-olds and over
  • 70-year-olds and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
  • 65-year-olds and over
  • 16- to 64-year-olds with serious underlying health conditions
  • 60-year-olds and over
  • 55-year-olds and over
  • 50-year-olds and over

People aged over 80 in hospital, frontline health staff and care home workers have been the first to get the Pfizer jab at designated hospitals hubs and community sites across the UK.

IT IS OUR ABSOLUTE PRIORITY TO VACCINATE OUR PATIENTS

When we receive vaccines is completely out of our control but please be assured we will contact you.

Please do not call the surgery to make enquiries as this prevents patients requiring urgent care from getting through to us.
